Signature or Grand: Which SaveOurDate Tier Actually Fits Your Wedding

August 24, 2026 · 7 min read

Someone comparing Classic Floral at ₹499 against Grand Celebration at ₹799 asked me straightforwardly whether the pricier one was just better. It's a fair assumption, that's usually how pricing tiers work everywhere else. It's also the wrong assumption here, and worth actually unpacking, because picking the wrong tier means either paying for sections you'll never use or missing ones your wedding genuinely needs.

The ₹300 isn't a quality tax

The design craft is identical across tiers. Classic Floral's scratch-and-reveal date cards, Noor-e-Nikah's wax-seal envelope and Quranic verse section, Grand Celebration's parallax hero and polaroid gallery, Anand Karaj's interactive Laavan diagram, these all get the same level of attention regardless of which tier they sit in. What changes between tiers is which sections exist on the page, not how well the sections that are there were built.

What Signature (₹499) is built for

A Signature template, Classic Floral or Noor-e-Nikah, for example, carries an opening moment, a countdown, a gallery, a venue section, and an RSVP form, plus whatever's specific to the occasion (a Quranic verse section for Noor-e-Nikah, a scratch-card reveal for Classic Floral). That's a complete, properly built site for a single ceremony or a simple two-function wedding. It's not a stripped-down Grand template, it's a template that was never meant to carry a multi-day schedule or a two-family hosts page in the first place.

What Grand (₹799) adds

Grand Celebration, Azure Royale, and Anand Karaj all add a full event schedule for more than one function, a dedicated section crediting both families' hosts, and gift registry cards. Anand Karaj goes further still, adding the Laavan diagram and Gurdwara etiquette section specific to a Sikh ceremony. The extra ₹300 is paying for exactly these additional sections, sections a bigger, multi-function wedding with two families to credit genuinely needs, and a smaller single-day wedding genuinely doesn't.

Tier 3 (₹999): when a wedding needs its own set piece

South Mandapam sits alone at ₹999 because it's doing something neither other tier attempts: a scroll-built mandapam illustration and five-language support (English, Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam, Kannada). That's not "Grand tier plus a bit more," it's a template built specifically around a South Indian ceremony and a guest list that genuinely needs more than one language to read it comfortably. Outside that specific case, it's not the right template regardless of budget.

  • Signature (₹499): single ceremony or two simple functions, countdown, gallery, venue, RSVP, plus one occasion-specific centerpiece
  • Grand (₹799): multi-day schedule, two-family hosts section, gift registry, plus deeper ceremony-specific content where relevant
  • Tier 3 (₹999): a dedicated set piece and multilingual support for a specific tradition (currently South Mandapam)

Signature

₹499 — single ceremony or two simple functions

Grand

₹799 — multi-day schedule, hosts, and registry

Tier 3

₹999 — a dedicated set piece, currently South Mandapam

Every tier

Same RSVP dashboard, CSV export, and edit-anytime access

Ask which sections your wedding will actually use before asking which tier sounds nicer. A Signature template with five sections you'll actually fill in beats a Grand template with two sections left empty because there was no registry or second host to add.

The honest way to pick

Count your functions and your hosting families first. One function, one family to credit, no registry: Signature covers it completely for ₹499. More than one function, two families, a registry worth linking: Grand's extra ₹300 buys exactly those sections. A South Indian ceremony with a genuinely multilingual guest list: Tier 3 is the only template actually built for that job. Pick based on what the wedding needs to say, not on which price sounds more serious.
